1. Get the Telegram app on your Android smartphone from the Play Store.
2. Launch the Telegram app and log in with your mobile number.
3. Now, launch the Settings on your Android phone and open Android Auto settings.
Note – If your smartphone doesn’t have Android Auto in the default settings, download the Android Auto app from the Play Store.
4. Select Customize launcher and select the Telegram app from the available apps.
5. To add the app to the first page of Android Auto’s screen, tap the dotted icon near the Telegram app and drag it to the top.
6. Connect your smartphone and car via USB cable or Bluetooth.

How to Read and Reply to the Telegram Messages from Android Auto
Once you receive a message on Telegram, you will get a popup with a short note of the message with two options: Play aloud and Replay.
- If you select the Play-aloud option, the Google Assistant on your car will read the message you received on Telegram.
- If you select the Replay option, the voice assistant will wake up and recognize your reply.
Once you have said the message, it will read the reply message once and confirm with you. If you select the Send option, the message will be sent to the desired content on your Telegram.
How to Send Messages From Telegram on Android Auto
You can send messages from Telegram on Android Auto using Google Assistant. Initially, press the voice assistant button on your car and say the command mentioned below to send Telegram messages from Android Auto’s infotainment screen.
- Hey Google, send (describe the message) to (contact name) on Telegram.
- Hey Google, call (contact name) on Telegram.
The assistant will read out the message for verification. Tap on the Send button or command Send. If the message is wrong or you don’t want to send the message, select the Cancel button or command Cancel.
