Pavel Durov, the CEO of Telegram, revealed they have integrated a mini app store and an in-app browser in the Telegram app. These features are active, and you can start using them by updating the app to the latest version from the Play Store or App Store.
The Mini App Store contains numerous mini-applications that you can access by clicking the Search icon on the app. Simply tap Apps that comes after the Chats and Channels tab to access the Mini App Store.
Once you select the mini-app, the app’s description will appear. Click Open App to proceed. The selected Mini App on the store will open on Telegram using an in-app browser. Some apps are integrated with Google Pay and Apple Pay for hassle-free crypto and fiat payments.
The in-app browser will allow users to open multiple tabs and switch between messages, websites, articles, and mini-apps. You can even collapse and reopen tabs from the bottom bar, add bookmarks, and resume from where you have left off.
Additionally, you can generate content for Telegram Stories using mini-games. For example, you can share app achievements by taking screenshots of leaderboards.
The app also allows you to gift or purchase Telegram Stars to your contacts. Previously, they were used to make in-app purchases in mini apps and channels. The gifted stars will now be seen as animated gift boxes in chats. Notably, birthday celebrants will be shown at the top of the chats.
In the latest version of the Telegram app, you will get the front flash feature to record a video story in low light. The flash icon is at the bottom-left corner of the camera screen. For posting video stories, you can select a cover photo frame manually as you wish.
