Google has announced that it has added two new features to Google Maps. With the latest update, the app will allow users to report incidents that can help other people who travel on the same route. It also gets a destination guidance feature to rectify issues on entry and exit points of a building, parking spaces for a particular place, and more.
Google Maps’ destination guidance feature automatically lights up your building as soon as you approach it. You will also be notified about nearby parking lots. The company has already started rolling out this feature worldwide on Android and iOS, including Google built-in cars, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
The incident report feature is already available on Google Maps, but it will soon receive new improvements. Users will now be able to report incidents precisely. You can report road or lane closures, police inspections, cameras, construction works, etc.
