On February 8, 2024, Google blended Duet AI and Bard and rolled out a single product called Gemini. This AI Chatbot generates quick answers to all queries and becomes more accurate day by day. Competing with ChatGPT, Google has introduced the Gemini 1.5 Flash AI model, an upgraded version that replaces the previous Gemini 1.0 Pro Large Language Model (LLM).
Based on the release notes update this Thursday, Google reports that this lightweight and efficient version of its chatbot services will now be available on both the web and mobile platforms.
Google’s research scientist explained that the context window in Gemini Advanced has been quadrupled to 32K tokens. This indicates users can access this feature for free on the web from gemini.google.com. To grow the global search, this new model is available in more than 40+ languages across 230 countries.
Previously, when unveiled at Google I/O in May, it aimed to provide its users with easy-to-use LLMs. Also, users believed that the introduction of the new Gemini 1.5 Flash AI model seeks to compete against OpenAI’s GPT-4o mini.
With this latest upgrade, users can experience advancements in quality and latency when it comes to reasoning and image interpretation.
Additionally, Google claims that the integration of the Gemini 1.5 Flash AI model into its chatbox will reduce AI hallucinations. So that users can get valid answers to their queries, eliminating the mishap that produces misinformation.
Google also adds that, in the near future, users can have the ability to upload files in Gemini from Google Drive or from their local storage. Meaning that this feature is available only on Gemini Advanced, which is part of the Google One’s AI Premium plan. After that update, users can upload their Economics study guide and seek Gemini to create practice questions.
