iOS 18 Beta Developer Beta 3 is out now, and developers with iPhone XR and higher models can download it to test the new features. The update brings dynamic wallpaper, a dedicated Select button in the Photos app, emoji in the Messages app, dark mode for the third-party apps icon, a new flashlight interface (iPhone 15 series only), and a few improvements to fix the bugs from the first two builds.
The best thing about this update is that it adds a dynamic option to the default wallpapers. When enabled, the wallpaper color will change automatically at various points throughout the day.
iOS 18 Beta Developer Beta 3 also brings a new dark mode icon for third-party apps on the home screen. With that, icons on the home screen with a white background can be changed to black.
The photos app has received a minor yet important update. Now, you can find a Select button on the home screen for selection purposes. On the messages app, the developers have combined emoji, memoji, and stickers into a single interface.
Apart from these updates, downloading the iOS 18 beta 3 version drops the flashlight’s new interface from the dynamic island whenever the user enables it. From there, you can change the speed and brightness level. For detailed information about the release notes, visit this support page.
iOS 18 Beta is currently available for registered developers. We expect the public beta to be released at the end of this month. Like previous iOS versions, the standard version is expected to be released in September, along with iPhone 16 series models.
