iOS 18 is packed with several features, and T9 dialing is one such feature that attracts several users. It is the basic contact search feature that has been available on Android phones for ages. With this feature, you can use the dial pad to search for a contact by pressing the number that contains the corresponding alphabet. It lets you search for a contact without launching the Contacts book.
How to Use T9 Dialing on iPhone With iOS 18
Note: To access this feature, you should update your iPhone to the iOS 18 beta version.
1. Unlock your iPhone and go to the Phone app.
2. Open the dial pad to see the numbers with the alphabet.
3. You can search for contacts using the alphabet on the dial pad. For example, if you are looking to contact John, press 5 for J.
4. You can see the contacts that start with J appear in the search results.
5. To make it more specific, press 6-4-6 (H-O-N) after pressing the number key 5 for J.
6. Now, you can see the contact named John appear in the search result.
As we mentioned, T9 dialing can only be accessed in the beta version. Usually, the beta version comes with a bundle of bugs, which may cause a lot of issues with your device. So, think twice before installing the beta version.
